1. LEMON SUGAR DIY SCRUB
Lemon is renowned for its vitamin C content. It’s also a natural astringent, which tightens pores and can lighten age and sun spots.
This is a great scrub for anti-aging purposes, and will also suit anyone with acne.
- 4 cups raw brown sugar
- 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp organic Manuka honey
- 2 tsp vanilla extrac
Method: Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
2. OATMEAL AND COCONUT DIY SCRUB
Oatmeal is great for sensitive skin while coconut oil is a great moisturiser and can help repair damaged skin.
- ½ cup oatmeal
- ½ cup raw brown sugar
- 1 cup coconut oil
Method: Blend oats to a powder-like consistency using a food processor. Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
3. VANILLA AND CINNAMON DIY SCRUB
Cinnamon is known for its skin plumping qualities, which can smooth wrinkles. Vanilla is rich in B-vitamins and antioxidants, which can fight free radicals and prevent wrinkles.
- 1 cup raw brown suga
- r¼ cup almond oil
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 3 drops cinnamon essential oil
- Vanilla and cinnamon scrub
Method: Combine all ingredients except almond oil in a large bowl. Stir in the almond oil gradually until you’ve reached an ideal consistency.
POST HOMEMADE BODY SCRUB CARE
For this reason it’s important to moisturise after enjoying a body scrub. It will prevent your skin from drying out and leave it feeling soft.
