Will you always have combination skin?

Combination skin occurs mainly when we are young. The individual skin areas often gradually adjust to each other throughout your life.


If you have combination skin, the T-zone, the area between the forehead, nose and chin, can quickly become too oily. The cheek area, on the other hand, can often dry out. This can be due to weather changes or from using the same cleansing products on this area as you would use on an oilier t zone. In principle, a moisturising cream that does not contain too much oil is recommended here – this will give both zones what they need.

Balancing act no. 1: cleansing

Your daily skin cleansing poses a particular challenge: the T-zone needs to be gently cleared of oil, to avoid pimples and blackheads, whilst the drier skin areas must not lose any moisture. Tip: make sure you use a light day cream with a low oil content and apply it more sparingly to the t-zone. It is essential that the cream has a moisturising effect but is light at the same time. Of course, you can use the same cream for both zones. But make sure you choose a cream which is tailored specifically to your skin type.
